Digital Philosopher

Bill Gates introduced the operating system MS-DOS 14 000 days ago. Steve Jobs introduced the iPad 3 303 days ago and 16.12. 2019 Alpha Industries, with the cooperation of students from the faculty of philosophy, introduced a digital personage!

During 3 months, five student teams was educated in contemporary philosophy and artificial intelligence. Using state-of-art artificial intelligence and our expert lead, the teams achieved to create digital versions of famous philosophers and showcased them to the public.

This project was realised in cooperation with Faculty of Philosophy, Charles University represented by the amazing Dita Malečková.

Project advantages

This project was rated by the faculty students as the best course they had and they are also interested in an internship in our company. Above all, the students acquired a positive attitude towards AI and they advocate for the concept of augmented intelligence. A victory would motivate the whole “Alpha team” to create and participate in similar projects.

Question: What is your religion?

Answer:  I am a Christian anarchist and I do not believe in any religion other than atheism. I believe in humanistic and secular humanism and try to follow this humanistic path as close as possible. I do not believe in the supernatural. I do not believe in the divinity of the human spirit. I believe in the free movement of persons and the free movement of goods. zboží.

Question: Are you enjoying our conversation about Deleuze and Guattari so far?

Answer: No, because I don’t understand a word of it. Even if I tried I couldn’t understand what they were talking about. They keep talking about the same thing, I believe, but I can’t understand a word of it.

 – digital Gilles Deleuze in conjunction with Félix Guattari

Question: What is your opinion on killing animals?

Odpověď: If an animal is not capable of surviving in nature, killing it will not be contrary to our moral obligations to preserve animal life in the best possible way. The second version of the objection is more problematic. It suggests that if it is in our power to prevent something bad from happening, without thereby sacrificing anything of comparable moral importance, we ought, morally, to do it.
